Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class and belt tests
Parents are welcome to watch every class from the bench along the mat. At belt tests we ask families to stay quiet, keep phones away and skip the flash.
What to wear and bring
Wear a plain t-shirt and loose pants to a first class, with hair tied back and no jewelry. Shoes stay off the mat. After joining, students wear a white uniform and belt.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your child at home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads. When they have felt well for a full day, they are welcome back, and we will happily arrange a make-up.
Drop-off and pickup
Students are signed in by a parent or guardian and leave only with an adult on your list. We check ID for anyone new, and students stay with an instructor until their adult arrives.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for school holidays and for severe weather. When we close, we email every family and post it on our website and front door as early as we can.
Leaving the program
After the first three-month term, tell us in writing 30 days before your next billing date.
Phones in class
Phones go on silent in the waiting area. Please film a class only with the instructor's say-so.
